John Redmond celebrated his 85th birthday in style at the Hotel Curracloe, Wexford, on 20th December, and what a special night it was.
John asked for no presents. Instead, he chose two charities close to his heart to receive donations, Reach Ability and Our Lady of Fatima School. John selected these charities because his daughter Stacey attends the day service at Reach Ability. And, his granddaughter Lori May attends Our Lady of Fatima School. Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended. A total of €2,200 was raised and shared between the two charities.
John would like to sincerely thank everyone who braved an extremely wet December night to come out and celebrate with him. A special thank you goes to his wonderful musical friends, Paddy, Jim, Peter, and Phil, your music truly made it a night to remember. Thanks also to the Hotel Curracloe for the amazing food and hospitality.
John extends heartfelt thanks to all his friends and family, and to Marie Haze for capturing such incredible memories through her photographs. Memories that will be treasured forever.
John’s wife Breda described the celebration as a lovely pre-Christmas run-up. Saying how special it felt to give back and see the event turn out so well.
Here at Reach Ability, we would like to sincerely thank John for his generous donation. The funds will go towards much-needed replacement gym equipment in the Astro Active Centre. Moments like these help us continue to grow, support our community, and make a real difference. For that, we are always truly grateful.
Thank you, John, and thank you to everyone who made this night so special.
