Inclusion, creativity, and self-expression were at the heart of our participation in Trash Panache. A wonderful event that celebrates imagination, sustainability, and community spirit. This year, our Bunclody Hub entry was titled “The Sound of Inclusion”, a unique design created using recycled newspapers and CDs. From the initial ideas to the final touches, everyone played a part in bringing the project to life, making it a true team effort.
The piece was designed to celebrate expression beyond words and carried a powerful message “Listen, hear every voice and make music for all.”
Every element of the design had meaning. The newspapers represented society’s voices, stories, and experiences, reminding us that every voice matters and that people with disabilities deserve to be seen, heard, valued, and included. The CDs symbolised communication, connection, and the importance of amplifying every voice within our communities.
One of the highlights of the event was seeing the confidence, enthusiasm, and creativity of everyone involved. Events like Trash Panache provide an opportunity for people to express themselves, work together, and showcase their talents in a supportive and inclusive environment.
